MP congratulates local Stourbridge Church group
Margot James, MP for Stourbridge, has congratulated the team at St Thomas’s Church in Market Street in the town centre.
The church group has been awarded a development grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, which will allow them to bid for major funding to carry out vital repairs and improve access for local people living with disabilities.
Margot will visit the church on Friday 3rd July to open their annual Flower Festival, which will also help towards raising money for repairs and improvements to the Church buildings.
Speaking about the grant, Margot said; “I am delighted that St Thomas’s has been awarded this important grant, which will help them bid for the funds they need to repair and improve access to the Church for the community. I am really looking forward to opening their Flower Festival and I very much hope that this event also helps to raise more money to help pay for these improvements and repairs.”
