Little Colliers Nursery to remain open for now
The Windsor Academy Trust, who operate Little Collier’s Nursery, has announced that the nursery will remain open until at least the end of the academic year.
There were fears that the nursery would close its doors in January after experiencing a cash shortfall.
But its immediate future has been secured following an intervention by Stourbridge MP Margot James, after she was approached by concerned parents.
“I am thrilled that the nursery will remain open at least until the end of the academic year. It gives the board a chance to look at ways in which it can remain open permanently.
“Early years education is a fundamental part of a child’s development. When I was approached by anxious parents regarding the threat of its closure, I shared their concerns and made it a priority to work on their behalf for a solution.
“I had a positive conversation with the director of the trust a few weeks ago, and I remain hopeful moving forward.”
